[It'd been another one of those mornings. One of those mornings where the house felt a little emptier. Patty'd hoped she wouldn't ever have to make one of these announcements, but there's no one left to take the burden off her shoulders, now. There's only her. ... Well, her and Alexei, but she can't exactly ask him to announce this.
When she opens the journal, she tries to make her voice sound as airy as possible. Of course, she doesn't entirely succeed. There's a kind of stuffiness to her tone that makes it seem as if she's got a bad cold.]

You think too small and cannot see the big picture like I can. Who gave you the right, to rid the world of blastias and convert to a new unknown power source? It's quite a drastic change that I'm sure not everyone will agree with, especially when the barriers fail. And should your plans all backfire on you, and the new source of power doesn't hold up to everyone expectations...I can't imagine the chaos that would follow.

Aye, it's risky and people will be mad there's no more barriers, but we're running out of time. The Adophagos is getting bigger and Duke is the one with the only other alternative right now.
