2nd Treasure - [Action/Voice]

[Over a week ago, the Malnosso kidnapped one Patty Fleur from the enclosure for experimentation. On the morning of the sixth, one Patty Fleur is returned. However, it may be hard to tell who she is at first glance. She now looks like this, outfit included. The Malnosso dropped her off just north of the village, by the river, where she regains consciousness relatively soon. There's just a few more problems, on top of the obvious. The first being that her memories are in disarray. The Malnosso had a little fun with them and now everything's a great big mess. The second problem is that they drugged her pretty badly.]

[Action]

[When she awakens, she feels groggy and disoriented. She has no clue where she is, or even who she is. A soft groan escapes her and she rolls over onto her stomach so she can push herself into a crouching position. A wave of nausea overcomes her and- Oh, there's water nearby. Drinking some water would help. That river is clean enough, right? She moves closer on her hands and feet to peer down into it, then catches sight of her own reflection.

That's right... She's Aifread. Aifread, the Guild Leader of... Siren's Fang. See, she knew she could work her way through the groggyness. And she looks terrible. They must've been out on another drinking binge the previous night. Her crew could throw the craziest parties whenever she permitted them. She cups some water into her hands to take an idle sip, then glances around. The place doesn't seem familiar to her. One thing catches her attention, though: A neat journal that's lying on the ground nearby.

A journal... The strangest notion dawns on her, and she flips it open only to have her suspicions confirmed. It's a communication's device. That's right, couldn't she use this to broadcast messages to her companions? She's sure that's how it worked. There was something else about this journal- something important. Something to do with who gave it to her? Or the other people who have one? The more she tries to think about it, the greater her headache becomes.

She can worry about the details later, when her hangover's died down. Right now, she needs to find out where the rest of her crew passed out.]

[Voice]

[Cue a deep woman's voice. She seems to be speaking with a bit of a slur.]

All right, you lowlifes. You've had your fun, but remember Guild rule number seven. There will be appropriate punishment, so go clean up your acts and prepare yourselves.

[That ... doesn't sound like anyone he knows. But a guild? ... Well, he really doubts his world is the only one with guilds, but something about this was just pinging him as potentially being relevant to him somehow.

So--]

What guild are we talking about here?

[By now, Aifread isn't paying much attention to her journal anymore. It's still open in her hand, but she's making her way to the village and trying her best not to tumble over while doing so. Her balance is a little messed up for some reason.]

It's Siren's Fang, ya know. The one and only pirate guild.

[... Huh. Now that rings a bell or two. Either this is a new feather or a certain little pirate girl came back from her kidnapping.]

So even a pirate guild has rules to break. Then again, the Union would probably get a little annoyed with you if it didn't, huh ...

[She gives a loud, somewhat hoarse laugh.]

The Union? Boy, this isn't about the Union! This is about guild principles. A guild doesn't have rules because there's a rule that you need 'm. If that were how it worked, guilds would be no better than the Empire, ya know.

[Well then! Not only is he learning some things, it also confirms that she's most definitely from Terca Lumireis. ... And something about the way she's speaking is starting to lean toward another confirmation, but he'll stop his usual conclusion jumping until he can actually see her.]

Heh. Yeah, I guess that's right. Sorry for assuming - I don't have as much guild knowledge as I probably should. [A quick pause, then--] So, I take it you're the leader of Siren's Fang? [She was talking about rules and such to start with, so ...]

[Is she the leader? Of course she's- ... Oh, hold on. It was usually Cypher who would be the 'leader'. How could she forget that? Rats.]

Let's just say I'm up pretty high in the chain of command.

Yeah, I'll bet. I doubt an ordinary member would be allowed to deal out punishments.

[So, a second in command, or something? Well, that's interesting. One of the higher ups of Siren's Fang is in Luceti, then.

... That doesn't take away the fact that Siren's Fang no longer exists, as far as he knows. But before mentioning anything like that--]

So, you got a name, or should I just call you "High-Ranking Pirate"?

[She gives a loud scoff in amusement.]

You can always call me "Gorgeous", "Amazing" or "Excuse me, beautiful young miss", ya know. How about you, Sir Curiosity?

I think I prefer "Yuri Lowell", given that it's my name and all.

[Still no name out of her ... Well, that's fine. He's got a very strong suspicion he knows who this is at this point, anyway.]

Yuri Lowell...? [There's something stirring in the back of her head, and she takes another close look at the image in her journal. There's something important she needs to remember, but the harder she tries, the more it seems to trickle away from her.]

Hang on, don't I know you from somewhere?

[ ... ]

Depends. Where do you think you could've met me?

That's just it. I can't... Hm.

[Yuri Lowell... Where could she have met him? What are these memories she has of him? Didn't she fight alongside him? Didn't she like to fling herself at him when she was younger? She's sure that he was much taller than her back then, after all.]

But I know you. I'm sure I do.

Well, if you're so sure about it, then I guess you have. [smirking a bit--] You remind me an awful lot of someone I know, actually. Ever hear the name "Patty Fleur" before?

[There's a considerable silence. That other girl mentioned Patty as well. A relative by the name of Patty. ... A granddaughter? No, that's not right. How could she have a granddaughter when she doesn't even have a regular child? And she's far too young for that. ... Or is she? Just how old is she? She can't seem to remember.]

I... I-it's so strange. I don't know why I know her. [The laugh that follows is a very brief, very strained one.]

[... Hmm.]

You just woke up here, right? Maybe you should give yourself a little time to remember things before you start worrying about anything.

I suppose so... [Though her hangovers have never been this bad. She's starting to realize this is likely not a hangover at all.]

[It's sounding like she's definitely remembering things, but ... well, Yuri sees no need to rush that along right now. Especially not over the journal - that's just outright impersonal.]

Where did you end up, anyway?

[She decides to just return to her usual cheerful attitude. Nothing can be gained by moping about this.]

By the river. A nice lass has already decided to come seek me out, but I wouldn't mind the company of a handsome young man like yourself either, ya know!

[Then someone's already coming to pick her up ... that's good then.]

I think that "nice lass" is all the company you're gonna get for now. Besides, if it's who I think it is, we're probably going to cross paths soon enough anyway.

Ahhh, is that so? Then, I'll look forward to seeing you soon, Yuri Lowell. [~~Her body is ready~~]

Mmhm. Till then, High-Ranking Pirate. [He'll see you whenever you show up, Patty.]

[And eventually, Estelle will have guided a disoriented pirate lady back to the Vesperia house. Aifread isn't entirely sure what to do with herself, so for now she'll just take a seat on the couch and flip through her journal. It might hold more concrete answers for her.]

[A little while after Aifread gets the house, Yuri will be coming home from the battle dome. He sort of double-takes when he notices Aifread, mostly due to "stranger in the house", but once he realizes that it could only be one person, he'll make his way over.]

You got here quicker than I thought you would.

[She looks up from her book with a wide, careless smile. Even older and with her memories in disarray, Patty will be Patty and she'll pretend this isn't eating her up inside.]

I did say I would see you soon, Yuri Lowell!

I guess I had a different idea of how long "soon" was supposed to be.

[Shruggin'. He's a little surprised to see her smiling like that, but hrm ...

Anyway, given what she's doing right now--]
