ps3pirate | 2nd Treasure - [Action/Voice]

[Over a week ago, the Malnosso kidnapped one Patty Fleur from the enclosure for experimentation. On the morning of the sixth, one Patty Fleur is returned. However, it may be hard to tell who she is at first glance. She now looks like this, outfit included. The Malnosso dropped her off just north of the village, by the river, where she regains consciousness relatively soon. There's just a few more problems, on top of the obvious. The first being that her memories are in disarray. The Malnosso had a little fun with them and now everything's a great big mess. The second problem is that they drugged her pretty badly.]

[Action]

[When she awakens, she feels groggy and disoriented. She has no clue where she is, or even who she is. A soft groan escapes her and she rolls over onto her stomach so she can push herself into a crouching position. A wave of nausea overcomes her and- Oh, there's water nearby. Drinking some water would help. That river is clean enough, right? She moves closer on her hands and feet to peer down into it, then catches sight of her own reflection.

That's right... She's Aifread. Aifread, the Guild Leader of... Siren's Fang. See, she knew she could work her way through the groggyness. And she looks terrible. They must've been out on another drinking binge the previous night. Her crew could throw the craziest parties whenever she permitted them. She cups some water into her hands to take an idle sip, then glances around. The place doesn't seem familiar to her. One thing catches her attention, though: A neat journal that's lying on the ground nearby.

A journal... The strangest notion dawns on her, and she flips it open only to have her suspicions confirmed. It's a communication's device. That's right, couldn't she use this to broadcast messages to her companions? She's sure that's how it worked. There was something else about this journal- something important. Something to do with who gave it to her? Or the other people who have one? The more she tries to think about it, the greater her headache becomes.

She can worry about the details later, when her hangover's died down. Right now, she needs to find out where the rest of her crew passed out.]

[Voice]

[Cue a deep woman's voice. She seems to be speaking with a bit of a slur.]

All right, you lowlifes. You've had your fun, but remember Guild rule number seven. There will be appropriate punishment, so go clean up your acts and prepare yourselves.

I think that "nice lass" is all the company you're gonna get for now. Besides, if it's who I think it is, we're probably going to cross paths soon enough anyway.

[And eventually, Estelle will have guided a disoriented pirate lady back to the Vesperia house. Aifread isn't entirely sure what to do with herself, so for now she'll just take a seat on the couch and flip through her journal. It might hold more concrete answers for her.]

[A little while after Aifread gets the house, Yuri will be coming home from the battle dome. He sort of double-takes when he notices Aifread, mostly due to "stranger in the house", but once he realizes that it could only be one person, he'll make his way over.]

You got here quicker than I thought you would.

[She looks up from her book with a wide, careless smile. Even older and with her memories in disarray, Patty will be Patty and she'll pretend this isn't eating her up inside.]

I did say I would see you soon, Yuri Lowell!

I guess I had a different idea of how long "soon" was supposed to be.

[Shruggin'. He's a little surprised to see her smiling like that, but hrm ...

Anyway, given what she's doing right now--]

Hmhmmm... [She idly flips a page of the journal back and forth.] Useful, yes. Fulfilling, no. There's a detailed guide in here, but it doesn't hold all the answers I need, ya know.

Yeah, there's only so much a guide can tell you about this place. [ ... ] What other answers are you looking for?

I'm guessing "the Malnosso did it" isn't enough in this case. Especially since some pieces just don't fit together in this whole mess.

[Although, she WAS new to Luceti ... maybe she just didn't know that those guys could pull weird aging effects on people, and this was just some version of that.

... It didn't explain why Siren's Fang was suddenly something that exists again according to her, and why an older Patty was apparently a member, though. Actually, that just made it more confusing for him.]

Aye, that's right. I've got memories that are as out of place as a herring in the desert, but they must be real because you all are confirming them.

[It seems unlikely some of her memories would be fake, but if they're all real, how come she's got two different kinds of childhood memories? You can't live your childhood twice.]

[So pieces aren't fitting together on her end, either ... This was really getting complicated. Still, even if he doesn't really know Patty too well, he can't just walk off and say "Well, good luck with that!" or anything. So ...]

... I'm probably not the best guy to talk to for this, but what memories seem the most out of place?

Hm... [She has to put some real thought into that. She's not entirely sure which are the out of place ones, just that they conflict.]

The ones with you in it, I guess. ... You all know me as Patty, right?

Yeah, that's right. [... And if she's saying that--] So that's not your real name, then.

Oh, well, I don't know. [She frowns, scratching the back of her head. She's really worked herself into a corner here, and she has no idea what to believe anymore.]

I don't think so?

Even that's all messed up ...

[ ... ]

Well, what things don't conflict? It might be easier to start there.

[Hm...]

Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to be in a guild of my own. A unique one that did things no other guild did. So I started a Pirate guild. My First Mate, he... helped out a lot. But the guilds were all scattered and out of control, like a wild stormy ocean. They couldn't work as a team if their life depended on it. So me and Don Whitehorse, and a couple other influential guild leaders... We all made a pledge and formed the Union. Everything changed after that. And then... I don't know. It gets a little fuzzy. I think that unpleasant Commandant was there.

[... Woah, wait a minute. Formed the Union, with the Don? That's enough to make Yuri looks outwardly confused, and maybe even a little stunned - especially since that's part of what she's saying ISN'T a conflicting memory. That clingy little girl he met on his first day here is really someone that influential ...?

But what she says at the end quickly draws him out of his surprise.]

An unpleasant Commandant ... That must've been Alexei. [ ... ] So, the last thing you can remember is him being around, and that's it?

Well, no. Because I'm sure I remember him in different places. He was in a desert town, and a place with waterfalls... And I think I ran into him on a very high place, too. Something overlooking a city, ya know. But then... Weren't you guys there too?

[Her memories are so out of whack it's not even funny anymore.]

... Yeah, we were. [... sigh.] Well, I can definitely see why you're so confused, that's for sure. Only explanation I can think of is that the Malnosso mixed your memories around somehow, but ... that doesn't seem right, either.

[She's really starting to wish Cypher were here. He'd know what was wrong.]

These kidnapping effects... They'll wear off, right?

Yeah, they will. It won't be right away, but it usually doesn't take much longer than a week or so.

Good. Once this storm blows over, I'll know what's what again.
