[Patty isn't a stranger to waking up in peculiar places. In fact, she's awoken in places far stranger than this. The first thing she noticed was the nostalgic, salty smell of the sea. Then, the crash of waves that were rocking her little 'boat' back and forth. It was really quite calming. However, all dreams must come to an end and it wasn't long before she regained consciousness entirely to realize that she was in a bit of a pickle.

She was in a washtub. In the middle of an ocean. Wearing a plain white dress. ... Well, it could always be worse. Not quite noticing the book beside her just yet, she begins to speak.]

Oooh, my head... I know that when it's time to abandon ship and you're out of lifeboats, you should float along in a powder keg, but I've never heard of washtub boats before.

Ah, looks like I'm caught up the creek without a paddle. [Silence, then a little crackle in the microphone.] ...This book will do, ya know!

[What follows is a very loud splash, as Patty dunks the journal into the water to try and paddle her way to shore. This... may take a while.]

There isn't any here! You just sort of - get stuff for free. [ Ikki sounds pretty flippant. :| Money meant little to her anyway, since she lives on an island normally, and is seven with everything given to her, since...seven. ] Are you new?

Luceti. That's the name of this place. It's like a port world, with docks for worlds and times. 'Cause people here are from different worlds and times. [ she likes this metaphor, okay. ]

[Different worlds and times... She must mean it's filled with people from all sorts of different cultures! Yes, that makes perfect sense.]

I've never heard of Luceti and I'm one of the greatest adventurers. It must be pretty well hidden!

Hidden? Well, Katara and everyone says there's a barrier keeping us in, so I guess it might be!

Hah? But that's not how barriers work. They're supposed to keep the monsters out, not the people in. [Yup, she's thinking of blastia barriers.]

Well this is a "Shifted" barrier, by the Malnosso, so I dunno that it works like any other barrier ever. Any powers we got are cut down, so I dunno, if you know magic - you don't know bending, do you? - you can check with that!

[That sure does sound like a case of a broken Barrier Blastia to Patty. Trying to cast a magic spell is something she can do, but bending? Right now, there isn't much to bend except the pages of the journal, and that seems to work just fine.]

Ahoy, Ikki! I'm the one and only Patty Fleur. Ya know, I'm friends with the great Rita Mordio from Aspio. She's an expert on Blastia! I'll bet she can fix your barrier in a jiffy.

Sorry, I dunno who Rita is - but it's nice to meetcha, Patty! I also dunno what Blastia is.

[Aww, the little girl doesn't know what blastia are. That's so cute.]

My wings...? [She peers over her shoulder, and suddenly the mysterious back pains are explained.]

Yeah, everyone does! What colour are yours? Mine are yellow but they look white 'cause they're really really pale. Anyway be really super careful with them, 'kay?

Hey, are you okay? D'you see the shore and stuff?

[Ikki's words are sluggishly making their way through the haze of 'whaaat'.]

I have wings... I have wings, and they're blue. And a little bit of white. Wings...

[She blinks, then shakes her head and peers around.] Oh, aye. I called land ho quite a while ago. I think there's a beach on the horizon, but it's hard to tell without my binoculars, ya know.

[ she accepted wings more easily. ...but she also believes that lovers should drink magic potions made of sunsets and sunrises, etc. ]

They sound pretty! You can't fly with 'em, though. But they're kinda neat, huh?

[ Ooooh, the beach. ] Good! If ya don't have your normal clothes, those'll be in the shops here, and you can just come grab 'em, 'cause they're free. [ that's important to know. Ish. ]

[And then half of Ikki's words were forced through a proverbial sieve as Patty tries to figure out which part of all that is most important to reply to.]

... Why are my clothes in a shop?

[ SHRUG. Then, remembering she's on voice. ] I dunno. Just 'cause? Why do we have wings, y'know?

... I don't know. I wish I did. A human with wings is as out of place as a seagull in the desert.

Well, not here. 'Cause there's no one without wings, so I guess you'd be out of place if you didn't have them. 'Cause we all do.

You do? ... Wait, who's we, exactly?

Everyone here! Everyone is from different worlds and stuff, so it's fun to talk to them.

Oh... Hm... [Maybe the wings are a side effect from the broken blastia? Hmhmmm...]

So where there's people, there's a city! How far is it from the beach?

[ Ikki shrugs. She's gone there a few times, but doesn't go too far from the town without someone else in general. ] Not too far. We go there lots. Town's right by lots of rivers, though, so if you find one just follow it in?
