ps3pirate | 2nd Treasure - [Action/Voice]

[Over a week ago, the Malnosso kidnapped one Patty Fleur from the enclosure for experimentation. On the morning of the sixth, one Patty Fleur is returned. However, it may be hard to tell who she is at first glance. She now looks like this, outfit included. The Malnosso dropped her off just north of the village, by the river, where she regains consciousness relatively soon. There's just a few more problems, on top of the obvious. The first being that her memories are in disarray. The Malnosso had a little fun with them and now everything's a great big mess. The second problem is that they drugged her pretty badly.]

[Action]

[When she awakens, she feels groggy and disoriented. She has no clue where she is, or even who she is. A soft groan escapes her and she rolls over onto her stomach so she can push herself into a crouching position. A wave of nausea overcomes her and- Oh, there's water nearby. Drinking some water would help. That river is clean enough, right? She moves closer on her hands and feet to peer down into it, then catches sight of her own reflection.

That's right... She's Aifread. Aifread, the Guild Leader of... Siren's Fang. See, she knew she could work her way through the groggyness. And she looks terrible. They must've been out on another drinking binge the previous night. Her crew could throw the craziest parties whenever she permitted them. She cups some water into her hands to take an idle sip, then glances around. The place doesn't seem familiar to her. One thing catches her attention, though: A neat journal that's lying on the ground nearby.

A journal... The strangest notion dawns on her, and she flips it open only to have her suspicions confirmed. It's a communication's device. That's right, couldn't she use this to broadcast messages to her companions? She's sure that's how it worked. There was something else about this journal- something important. Something to do with who gave it to her? Or the other people who have one? The more she tries to think about it, the greater her headache becomes.

She can worry about the details later, when her hangover's died down. Right now, she needs to find out where the rest of her crew passed out.]

[Voice]

[Cue a deep woman's voice. She seems to be speaking with a bit of a slur.]

All right, you lowlifes. You've had your fun, but remember Guild rule number seven. There will be appropriate punishment, so go clean up your acts and prepare yourselves.

[Hm... That 'Flynn' fellow had said that Patty was a pseudonym she'd used while she was here, but if that was the case, wouldn't Estelle have recognized her as Patty immediately?]

Older... [And then it all clicks. Why she believed Yuri to be taller than her, why people ask her if she's a relative of Patty instead of Patty herself. It's because Patty was a young girl.]

Yes, that must be it. I'm older now, aren't I...?

[Estelle just blinks in confusion, not entirely sure what to make of this.]

... Is that really you, Patty?

[Was this the Malnosso's doing too?]

I think so... [She runs a hand through her hair, frowning.] My head is murkier than a pond full of algae.

[Estelle comes over to kneel down next to Patty/Aifread with a soft frown on her face.]

It's all right.

The Malnosso did this to you.

[She was fairly sure of that now.]

Hmm... They're the guys in charge, right?

[She's still not entirely sure what exactly the Malnosso did to her. Is she just older? That doesn't seem right. Memories of being young are conflicting with other memories of being young, and those are conflicting with memories of being older. Which of those are real? Or are they all real, somehow?]

Yes. Do you remember when Alexei was in our house, as a woman? It's somewhat the same thing, I believe. They experiment on us.

[Estelle hates seeing this happen to one of her friends, and has to wonder when it will happen to her.]

[For a couple of seconds, she gets completely distracted by the mental image of Alexei as a woman. There's no way Estelle doesn't mean that arrogant Commandant she ran into earlier. And he was in their house?

The moment the word "experiment" drops, though, she snaps out of her thoughts again.]

Experiment? ... Oh, that's right... Scientists, right?

[It is a disturbing thought isn't it? But yes she does mean that arrogant commandant.]

Yes. I'm sorry you have to go through this. It must be very confusing.

[She looks down at her hands. Experiments... A man turned into a woman, but he was clearly a man again when she met him a short while ago.]

But then, does that mean... I'm not supposed to be older?

[Now that is a good question.]

I... I don't know. You were younger when you came, but...

[She pauses, looking uncertain.]

I never actually knew you until we were brought here.

Is that so...? What about Cypher or- or anyone from my crew? Is there anyone here who would know?

[She shakes her head.]

No, I don't believe so. Yuri, Raven, and Alexei are the only other ones from our world. Unless they would know.

[Yuri, Raven and... uuugh...]

Trust me, there's no point in relying on Alexei for help. He's already made it clear that I'm better off staying ignorant, ya know.

[Estelle blinks at this.]

Has he? I... honestly would not trust anything that man has to say.

I'm not. If a slimy eel like that says I'm better off not knowing, that makes me all the more determined to find out.

Well... I hope you find out. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

[She gives a dismissive wave of her hand.]

Don't worry about it! You can take me back to the village, right?

Of course!

[Estelle now rises to her feet again, ready to lead Patty... er... Aifread... whichever, back to town.]

[Aifread pushes herself to her feet as well, though she wobbles unsteadily for a few seconds before finds her balance.]

You plot a course and I'll follow!

All right, it's this way. ... Are you okay?

[She hadn't missed that wobbling and waits to make sure that Patty/Aifread can follow well enough.]

[She waves a hand, placing her other hand on her hip.]

Just a little dizzyness. It's like I'm using my sea legs on land. Don't worry, it'll pass.

Oh... all right. [If you say so.]

[She'll lead Patty/Aifread back into town, probably toward House 12 unless she needs something or needs to go somewhere else.]

[Nope, she's good. House 12 it is! The place looks familiar to her, so she can only assume this is where she's been staying ever since she arrived in Luceti.]
