[Oh Kratos, you foolish man. You thought you were the only one who had the bright idea to hide out in the Battle Dome? You're not.

The moment he enters the main hallway, he may find himself bumping right into Patty if he's not careful. She got stuck under mistletoe just after walking through the front door and she's been there for fifteen minutes already.]

[He manages to avoid the mistletoe (just barely), but he still notices it... and Patty right under it. He takes a deep breath before speaking.]

Patty. [Is she going to expect him to kiss her? The thought makes him a tad uncomfortable. He doesn't want to leave her there, but she's a child.

He is not amused, Malnosso.]

Kratos! [Her face lights up at the sight of him. Being found by a stranger would've been worse than being found by someone she already knows, in her opinion. Kissing is inevitable either way.]

My hero! Help me out, will ya?

[Exactly as he feared. This is only becoming more and more awkward--as if that man from the day before wasn't bad enough. He's hoping the Malnosso aren't too depraved and he can get away with just kissing her on the cheek, but even that is more than a little out of his comfort zone.]

Aye! C'mon, pucker up! I'm stuck like a dolphin in a tuna net!

[And as luck would have it, a handsome, mature fellow was the first to find her. Her guardian angel must be looking out for her.]

[A drawn out, almost strangled sigh. Guardian angel... indeed.]

If you insist. [He approaches Patty, not looking pleased with this situation at all. That's because he isn't, of course. He stands in front of her, looking down at her and taking a deep breath.

...and hesitating. Well, then.]

[Patty makes sure to stand on her toes as he steps closer, looking up at him expectantly. ...Aaaand nothing's happening. Why is nothing happening?]

What's wrong? Do I smell funny?

...no. Nothing of the sort.

Then, what are you waiting for? Could it be... that you've never kissed someone before? Are you shy?

Don't be absurd. I've kissed before.

[Anna, countless times. Yuan and Misato, while they were here. That man from yesterday. The last three he doesn't particularly want to think about, the former two for different reasons than the latter.

He doesn't know what's keeping him from kissing her on the cheek like he had decided on. Perhaps all displays of intimacy have become alien to him. He sighs, beginning to lean down again.]

[And Patty stands on tiptoe again, closing her eyes and waiting. Honestly, she doesn't get why he's being so squeamish about this. A kiss is a kiss. It's a perfectly natural thing to do.]

[Forget leaning--he squats down, because Patty is considerably shorter than him. He closes his eyes, quickly pecking her on the cheek.

There. Hopefully that should do the trick. If not, he'll have a lot more questions about the Malnosso's morality than he already does.]

[Not to worry, Kratos, it'll do fine. Once the kiss is over, Patty giggles loudly and backs away from where she was standing.]
