[It'd happened again. Thanks to an experimental Shift, Patty had once again found herself missing most of her memories. Important memories. She'd forgotten who she was and, more importantly, she'd forgotten her friends. The ones who'd stood by her during her darkest hours. Now that the Shift's passed, she feels ashamed of herself and the house seems even emptier than it already did. Certain words keep drifting back to the surface.

"I was worried you would find yourself all alone without your memories, but you found good friends, Aifread."

Do you have time this afternoon? You could help me build a treehouse. I found the perfect tree. [She pauses her writing for a moment, thinking. Then she jots down one last sentence.] And I think we should talk.

Treehouses exist in other worlds too, right? So tell me, what do you think makes the perfect treehouse? What does it need? What doesn't it need? What kind of wood makes the sturdiest boards? Rope swing, tire swing or normal swing?

I wouldn't want to live in a world where treehouses don't exist! I definitely mean that! [ Well not really, but he likes his melodrama. ] So don't worry, I can tell you all about the perfect treehouse. I'm an expert!

Well then, fire away. What kind of materials would you use?

Well you obviously have to have a lot of wood for it! If you don't have any that comes from a legendary tree known for being really reliable, then it's good to ask a carpenter what a good alternative is! Ooh, and you could use more than one kind, too, that would look really cool when it's all put together!

It's important not to limit yourself most of all. You should have all the swings that you want! All of anything that you want, because it's your treehouse! If you've got floors and walls and a roof then your imagination should be your only limit!

[Multiple kinds of woods, legendary trees, hmhmm... Makes sense...]

But if I want more swings I'll need more room to swing. One tree won't be enough. I'll need... three trees! Maybe more, ya know.

Ohh, you're right. It would be kinda like a tree mansion! People would probably get really jealous of something like that.

That depends on the owner's personal taste, right? I mean, if you want a lot of heavy statues and stuff, that probably means you'll need really good floors to hold them, but there are a lot of ways to decorate that kind of a place.

Aye, but weather conditions should be considered too. If we're gonna get a lot of rain, leather and fabric are a pretty lousy idea. Wood's a safer bet, right?

Yeah, wood would be a safer bet then. You'd probably wanna get some kind of sealant or thick paint on it to keep it from getting soggy and falling apart, too.

Sealant, huh? I wonder if the store has anything like that... It'd be fun to paint the furniture, that's for sure.

I bet you could paint it to blend in with the walls, so that nobody but you would be able to find it!

Hahah that'd be hilarious! And even when people do know where to find it, I'll just move it around sometimes! That way, when someone tries to sit down, they'll fall flat on their back!
